About Craps

Craps is the classic American casino dice game, played by rolling two fair six-sided dice. The whole table bets on the outcome of the shooter’s rolls, which makes it one of the most social and fast-moving games on the floor. Every result here is a true, independent roll of two dice with totals from 2 to 12.

Come-out roll vs the point

A round begins with a come-out roll:

  • 7 or 11 (a natural) — Pass Line bets win immediately.
  • 2, 3, or 12 (craps) — Pass Line bets lose immediately.
  • 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 — that number becomes the point. The shooter then keeps rolling until the point repeats (Pass Line wins) or a 7 appears first (a seven-out, Pass Line loses).

Pass Line, Don’t Pass, and the Field

  • Pass Line — the classic “with the shooter” bet. Wins on a come-out 7/11 and on the point made; loses on a come-out 2/3/12 and on a seven-out. Pays even money.
  • Don’t Pass (bar 12) — the opposite side. Wins on a come-out 2/3 and on a seven-out; loses on a come-out 7/11 and on the point made. A come-out 12 is a push (the “bar 12” that gives the house its edge). Pays even money.
  • Field — a one-roll bet that wins on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12. Most field numbers pay even money, while the 2 and the 12 pay 2 : 1.

How it works

  1. Your browser generates two cryptographically secure 32-bit unsigned integers
  2. Each integer is mapped to the range 1–6 using modular arithmetic
  3. The two dice are summed for a total between 2 and 12
  4. The come-out / point game state advances and any working bet is settled — instantly, with no server request

Craps bets, payouts, and odds

Craps offers dozens of wagers. Single-roll bets show their winning outcomes over the 36 equally likely rolls of two dice; multi-roll bets (the line, place, and hardway bets) show the exact probability of winning their full resolution.
