What is my Chinese zodiac sign?
Your Chinese zodiac sign (生肖 / Sheng Xiao) is decided by your birth year, cycling through 12 animals in a fixed order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Enter your birth year above and the finder shows the matching animal along with its glyph and yin/yang polarity. Because the cycle repeats every 12 years, people born 12, 24, or 36 years apart share the same animal.
Chinese zodiac by birth year
Each animal governs a whole zodiac year, but that year does not start on 1 January — it begins at Chinese New Year, which falls between late January and mid-February. If you were born in January or early February, you may actually belong to the previous year's animal, depending on the exact New Year date that year. This finder uses the Gregorian year for a quick, deterministic lookup and does not compute exact lunar-calendar dates. The reference chart lists every animal with recent example years so you can double-check.
How the quiz works
Each round shows one Chinese zodiac glyph and four possible animal names. Pick the name you think matches; the quiz marks it right or wrong, reveals the correct answer, and keeps a running score, current streak, and best streak for the session.
